anyone still have the original Accesstuner Race by chance? I Recently purchased a car with a v2 Accessport and it doesn't work with the current Accesstuner. Cobb sends me the current Accesstuner and tells me I have 2 options. 1. Buy a v3. 2. Go to a shop. Apparently Accesstuner Pro can still work with v2 Accessport. And they say the only major difference between the 2 is one is vehicle/accessport locked and the other isn't. I'm VERY close to chucking it completely and using rom raider. I read scaling the maf and injectors can be a headache if at least 1 of them isn't stock.

Yep, it pay's the have a great tool box, and be good at problem solving.

 

I'll post another trick about oil filters i figured out last night. Couldn't get the filter loose on a car. not mine, that some oil change place put on. My son tried with a strap wrench and the filter began to crush. I tried the metal wrench and couldn't get it to go small enough. I have a number of wrenches, nothing seemed to work.

 

I knew I had to make the filter bigger or wrench smaller. I found a spare silicone Vibrant coupler on the shelf. I slipped it over the filter, put the wrench on and thought the wrench slipped it was so easy.

is that filter for a honda/acura by chance?? and are you talking about the strap thing that you connect to a ratchet??? i love that thing.. ive gotten anything i wanted to get off with that thing... although it does sometimes crush the oil filter if your not in a great position at turning it but if your not re using the oil filter (which you shouldn't) then i dont see a problem with it being a little crushed... or am i wrong there and theres a reason not to crush the oil filter?? and im not saying like crushed like a pop can... more like a dent...

^i bet your vf52 made the most power out of all the other vf52's??? u really dont give urself enough credit... and ive been sayin that to u for the longest time now.... maybe u can think about tuning other peoples cars?!??! lol... not like you would have the time anyways.... those are some serious numbers u put up though...

Didn't make it out there

So I guess there's a dyno day this weekend... I think me and one of my friends will be going but were probably not gonna be dynoin our cars... I think someone mentioned earlier but I thought I'd bring it up again to see if anyone else was interested in going...

It is actually a really smooth ride, not buttery smooth for long as I have ordered the Honda Factory Performance suspension for it that will drop the car by .8inch and also provide stiffer struts. The powa is great, plenty of load end torque, really nice midrange power, still haven't taken the car over 5000rpms yet and I'm at 1300miles, going to wait till I get to 1700miles to do my first 4th gear redline pull. Definitely will not make going to redline a regular occurence with this car, but given the way the v6 delivers power I don't think I'll feel the need to. How have things been Brett, wish you could have made it yesterday?

 

 

just wait till your car breaks in and you can take that thing to vtec im still a huge fan of the old school b18c's and b16a's... one project i would hopefully be able to get to in the future is a ek9 civic hatchback with a k20 motor swap...

Let's try and agree on a location and time by Thursday or Friday so we do t have any confusion... So far the only suggestion is BWW...

^theres a pretty big meet on sundays at the sonic in the DTC area... off of I-225 and tamarac i think it is.... but theres not many legacies... theres also the pirates meet every wed at the 24hr starbucks on colorado blvd... other than those 2 no... we usually have a legacy meet like every month or every other month.... we havent had one in awhile and i think we are due up for one... before it gets EXTREMELY cold.... any1 got any ideas???

yea... we definitely need to get together again... it was definitely fun.... hopefully on a saturday this time because sundays i work... and plus that might give me some time to wash my car so you guys dont look at me funny... yea... jae i must say i was pretty scared at the time... i just didnt wanna say anything then and look like a little girl... HAHAHA as far as the install goes... im actually just lookin into gettin it installed from my friend that owns a shop... you guys might kno him as the owner of import sports.... i would just do the install myself... but i dont have a garage... or the necissary tools... i know most of you are more than willing to help but thats alot to ask.... and plus i dont wanna try and tackle this install... and ending up having to get it towed to a shop anyways because i didnt realize what i was actually getting myself into... but i will definitely keeps u guys updated on my install thread... aiming for the end of this month at least...
