  1. Removing it is probably as simple as pulling really hard. Replacing it would be the difficult part.
  2. ^^^ True. I did before and after DB tests when I did mine. Absolutely made a difference.
  3. I've had good luck with my Craftsman set. I think they go from 8mm up to 12 or 14mm. For the bleeders on the calipers, I've always had good luck with the boxed end of a combo wrench.
  4. Why dosen't any one just get a flare nut wrench set? I've had them for years and they work perfectly.
  5. I did one complete turn (360 degrees) and it made all the difference in the world. Final thought: best mod yet when it comes to "bang for the buck"
  6. For those that have done the conversion, Did you find that after setting the rod at the same length as the stock booster, the engagement point for the brakes was further down? I just finished up and took it for a test drive. It is certainly a way better and more solid feel...but the pedal has to travel further (maybe and inch or two) before anything happens. I'm afraid to lengthen out the rod to remedy that for fear of the brakes locking up like others have experienced.
  7. So you're saying I should send the wife in there with her small hands and a ratchet.....
  8. Installing the booster and M/C this weekend. Can anyone clue me in how the booster is removed from the firewall? Do you unbolt it from inside the car, under the dash? I was pulling my clutch last night and gave it a quick look over, but didn't see anything obvious.
  9. Sorry I misunderstood. Makes sense. I should be getting my booster/MC combo within the next week. If you have not found the answer by then, I can take a look at both of mine if you'd like.
  10. I believe the bolt patters are different, thus not allowing you to bold your LGT MC to the Sti Booster.
  11. I am planning on putting this setup in my car. I currently have the Grimmspeed MC Brace. For those who have done the swap, and are familar with the MC Brace, would you anticipate any conflict with the brace?
  12. I never even considered that the mod could harm anything. I just did it according to the destructions on the DIY. NSFW - Order received. Scheduling....
  13. NSFW....I can do it for you, with our without killing your BIU. Your choice.
  14. I'm no electrical engineer. Quite the opposite actually. I'm a toothless redneck from the high hills of the Pacific Northwest. I took about an hour off from my moonshin' bidness to do this mod a year ago. No issues with it at all. Even works well with my "stage III" LED's from Diode Dynamics.
  15. Or this: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/sound-deadening-and-stereo-install-159235.html?t=159235
  16. In for pictures of it on the car.
  17. Beautiful work str8dwn. How did you get the JDM Double Din panel to line up so well with the USDM parts? Was it a lot of shims and fitting?
  18. I pretty well covered the area, minus the rectagle that the shifter comes up through. It DOES reduce the noise, but not by a lot. You still have that Subaru signature sound through the gear shifter.
  19. This means it's time for a bigger turbo.
  20. I'm confused. How do you bridge a mono amp?
  21. To be honest, I don't recall. It was a color my paint guy had sitting in his paint locker. Just got lucky with it. He finished it off with a flat clear coat.
