  1. No pics from Autocross yet but here are a few pics from CMP (Carolina Motorsports Park) HPDE Track day October 9th:
  2. November 5th is at Carowinds and is put on by the CCR of the SCCA. I've never been but the youtube videos show that it is a huge course and a lot of fun.
  3. I have flexibility so I can go during the week or on a weekend. I assume this would be a weekend event but let me know if people are available to go during the week as the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Dragon are considerably less crowded and therefore a lot more fun. I'm free during the week and on November 6, 12-13, 19-20. Here's an idea route if we had all day to enjoy it: http://g.co/maps/6at5m
  4. I motorcycle all over the mountains of western NC and these are some of the best roads in the country. I could lay out an amazing drive which could include the dragon, the blue ridge parkway, and some other great roads you may not have heard of. All I would need is a date that works for everyone and we could go from there. I've got plans Halloween weekend (Oct 29th) and the Autocross in Charlotte the weekend after (Nov 5th).
  5. Joel, did you make it out? My buddy in a 330 and I had a blast. I put up better times than more than 1/2 of the STI's out there on my first go at it so I'm pretty happy. Definitely has the potential to be addictive and expensive. Next event is in Charlotte November 5th at Carowinds. Supposed to be a nice long course so should be a lot of fun. I'll be there for sure. Lot's of Subie's around, more than I've ever seen in the Greenville/Greer/Spartanburg area for sure.
  6. SubieTrader - Greenville, SC 2005 LGT with some Suspension/Engine Mods Is anyone going to the AutoX at the BMW plant this Sunday? It will be my first event and I'm curious to see if other LGT's will be there.
  7. Thanks a lot OP. The previous owner of my 05 lgt had hid upgrades AND had somehow set them to strobe while the ebrake was disabled (when driving not when stopped). As it turns out the strobe "feature" was hooked up via the DRL's. Following your instructions I disabled the DRL's and the strobe is now gone. This was free vs. $100 min at the local car audio shop and took under 5 minutes. Thanks again.
  8. I just wanted to say thanks and I love the Aux-In kit. It took about 2.5 hours to install and it sounds great. The only thing to be careful of is the size of the switch hole. When you print the guide (whatever the default pdf print size is) it makes the hole too large.
  9. Well I've unloaded all of the stuff from my car and the noise has gone away (temps have gotten down to mid twenties). For me at least it seems more weight than temperature driven. Would definitely like to hear from some 07/08 owners to see if they have the problem (if not it's time to investigate the differences between ours and theirs).
  10. Just read all 41 pages, seems this should be something SOA should figure out (yes i know that is a naive newbie comment). I've got on 05 lowered with the S-tech's and cobb stage 1. I've had the car for a little over a month and previously never heard the growl. Well now I'm driving cross country to Colorado (colder weather and the car is packed to the brim) and noticed the growl for the first time. Looking forward to testing it in the cold without all the stuff in it to see if the problem persists. I don't mind spending some $, does anyone know a place (cobb maybe) that I could take mine to get some experts to work on it? Would taking it to a dealer to try to get some warranty coverage work on it even be worth the time? Also it seems the 05's predominantly have this problem, has anyone investigated potential differences between the 05 and 06+ setups?
