  1. Thanks for the detailed parts descriptions ViscousSguirrel. My long block is at the shop and this rebuild thread is going to help me a ton when it gets back. Also inspiration on which hoses I want to replace while I am at it. Mahalo! -Tim
  2. I think you might be right about the faulty tool. I attempted to get a reading on cylinder 3 and it read zero also. So tomorrow I will have to pick up a new one and will update this thread at that time.
  3. I agree that without that data this is a hard nut to crack. I might have to ask my significant other to reach out to her coworker's husband who might have the right tools... In the meantime I welcome all other advice and responses!
  4. UPDATE: Thanks to DaveWaters pointing out that I might have a faulty gauge. New numbers are: Cylinders 1, 2 and 3 cold compression 100 Cylinder 4 was 55 dry and 75 wet. Will be researching ringlands and deciding if this is a job I want to tackle myself or outsource it. Thanks and sorry about the phony title. -Tim
  5. No first hand knowledge but through some racers in the SCCA paddock I have heard good things about this shop over in Hayward: https://gstmotorsports.com/home/ Good luck with your build and enjoy your GT Wasabi Mami, -Tim
  6. Thanks for the detailed DIY for this task. My car is a 2005 Legacy GT limited wagon, so I assumed the task would be the same as written. I have however encountered a problem. Working on the drivers seat, I removed the seat pan bolt on the left side (the one pictured in this thread) but there is also one wedged behind the seat belt anchor. This is a total head scratcher to me as it appears even if I take the anchor off the metal it attaches to is riveted to the frame so removal of the seat pan bolt is still blocked I swear I have read this thread a few times and tried to do a search so forgive me if I missed it somewhere. Thanks for any help or guidance. -Tim
  7. ABP LGT rebaged as a "Subaru Aruba" at the south city Trader Joe's today. Searching reveals it was tagged back in 2006 and not appearing to be claimed. Sighted again... Glad to see it is still in the Bay Area. -tim
  8. Friday Dec 18 Regal Blue Pearl LGT Wagon clean aftermarket rims entering Southbound 101 near Grand Ave in lovely South San Francisco I merged onto the off-ramp on my motorcycle after you came on in a hurry. A thing of beauty our wagons are *^_^* I would have given you a thumbs up but I was only able to get up beside you before you changed lanes and used your turbo. Bye Bye I thought to myself. -tim
  9. Spotted 2 at Laguna Seca yesterday. Both Sedans 1 white, nice rims 1 blue, vanity plate (not going to type it out for id protection, in case you are sensitive to that) What is the deal with not being on the tracks guys??? Too many Miata's not enough turbo's! I would have run the wagon if i had it *^_^* -tim
  10. ABP Wagon, parked in a driveway in Redwood City on Spring St back on Saturday the 14th... Great looking car *^_^* -tim
  11. Install was straight forward between the instructions included and also the knowledge on this forum. Unit came as described, well assembled. IT is cool being able to glance over and see what kind of boost my Turbo is spooling. Sourcing tubing and t-joint (I went with a Y connector) was the hardest part. Well that and routing the tube through the firewall and finding the tube on the other side. So, the GTBoost gauge itself is plug and play and is very sweet, running hoses takes a bit of work, work well worth while. Thanks Lossol. -tim
  12. Feb 07, Kirkwood: ABP Wagon with Charcoal interior and Lake Tahoe license plate holder. It is like my cars brother. Very cool. I should have taken a peak inside to see if it was a manual as well. -tim
  13. But they are available Spartan. Check out his website you too can have one for introductory price of ... $1,065.00 looking forward to this going beyond beta testing. Brilliant work Lossol. We are in the presence of greatness. -tim
  14. 4:30pm today: ABP Limited Wagon in South San Francisco on Grand Ave. I lane split on a motorcycle and then stared at your car. Pretty much thinking, "oh so that is how nice my new ride looks!" and "damn i thought i my Wagon was so unique!" -tim
  15. ~4:30 pm Monday 11/17 ABP Legacy GT Sedan, DIY front grill, turning left off of E Market onto Hillside BLVD in Daly City. Looked real nice. Makes me rethink my list of acceptable colors for the wagon I plan on buying. Atlantic Blue does look real good with a nice tint in the sun. -tim 4:45pm spotted the same Legacy today on Bayshore crossing Guadalupe Canyon in Brisbane. Craziness.
