  1. I really despise the design of the child restraint anchor covers in my 2007 Legacy. I have all 4 covers, but the thin plastic inserts (part#s: 64328C,D,&E) that hold the actual covers have been broken into millions of pieces. I tried to keep up with them and super glue them back together for a while but it's a lost cause at this point. Does anyone else have issues with these things? They're not cheap parts ($25-50 each). Anyone got an STL file to 3D print these? Or other tricks to keep covers in place while looking decent?
  2. I just used my new EWK pneumatic fluid extractor (~$72 @ AMZN) to easily/cleanly suck out just over 5qts from the trans dipstick tube. Replaced with fresh Idemitsu TYPE-HP and things seem to be great. This was on a 2.5i w/ 224k miles. Will repeat the process @ 225k. Not a true flush but, as others have already mentioned, there may be merits to doing a partial drain/replace on older/dirtier fluid. I really like the extractor and plan on it making all my future fluid changes easier and less messy.
