  1. I was bored and curious the other day, so I compiled a quick list of all the 5MT GT Wagons broken down by color and trim. For some reason I count 1,670 total... I'm not sure why I came up with a different number than the OP though...

    Unlimited = 648

    * BSM - 156

    * ABP - 131

    * OBP - 108

    * RBP - 106

    * GRP - 77

    * SWP - 70

    Limited Black = 606

    * BSM - 190

    * ABP - 116

    * OBP - 108

    * RBP - 86

    * GRP - 58

    * SWP - 48

    Limited Tan = 416

    * OBP - 112

    * ABP - 99

    * RBP - 87

    * SWP - 61

    * GRP - 57

  2. Please please please post pics lol

    That annoying chime is the ONLY dislike of my car.

    Unfortunately, my hard drive crashed on me about a year ago and I think I lost those pics with it. However, if you want to PM me I'd be happy to talk you through the removal process. Pretty strait forward really, just need a soldering iron and a few small hand tools. If I end up finding the pics, I'll definitely post them up. Or if I find another '05+ Legacy/Outback I can modify, then I'll take some new pics. :-)

  3. Nope, just from the good ol US of A here. I was under the impression that the DGM color first became available in '07, but I could be wrong... I do know there was a nice DGM Legacy GT Wagon (auto of course) at this years WCSS. I emailed back a forth with the owner a couple times and I think he said he bought it from the original owner. I guess it's possible that it originally came from Canada, but I do know that it didn't have a km/h gauge cluster...
  4. in most VW's with a seatbelt chime there is what looks like a relay with a speaker on the end plugged in under the dash with the other relays.

    Can someone with access to the wiring diagram find the source of the chime and just yank it? I don't have a legacy book yet... but the sound is definitely coming from around the steering column.

    It comes from one of the main controll boxes, no way to yank it with out affecting other features. Just unplug it from under the seat

    FYI, I've taken a totally different approach to disabling the annoying chime on both an '05 and an '08 Outback and it worked out great. I removed the little black box under the dash, just right of the steering column that houses the actual speaker itself and just un-soldered the little round buzzer (it's just about an inch by half and inch) and just like that, no more dinging! I did take pictures but I'll have to dig around and see if I can find them in my spare time.

  5. Bump...

    Unfortunately the numbers for MY2006 I have end in Feb 2006, so I think they are incomplete. I am not sure when MY2007 production started though.

    If someone is friends with someone at a Subaru parts department pm me and we could dig more of these numbers including later years :)

    I have access to data from which I could get production numbers for all 05-08 model years. It's a lot of work to get that info though, so it will be a while before I find time to do that.

    Hey if anyone has access to this type of info for MY2007 as well that would be great. I'm specifically interested in how many DGM Legacy GT Wagons were made...

    Thanks

  6. Ah yes, I see now. For some reason I thought 05-06 was one body style and 07-08 was the other. I will be doing plenty of reading whenever I can. :-)

    So there were no 06-07 USDM wagons with a manual transmission made or just no GT wagons? Just trying to understand what's out there a bit better.

    On another note, can anyone tell me anything about importing a subaru or where I might find that kind of info? I guess what I'm asking is, is it a huge deal to bring a car from Canada to the US? I'm sure there are some tests and stuff but I don't know...

  7. Unclemat, you have two 05 LGT's? What can you tell me about them? Right now I'm driving an '01 2.5 RS that's pretty much set up for the track. I have been looking into possibly getting an '05+ LGT Wagon that would be a little more comfortable as a daily driver.

    I know it's probably a long shot, but what are the chances of getting an '07+ LGT Wagon with a manual from Canada? I just love that next body style up from the '05/'06 wagons.

    I've been wondering, what does the MY infront of the year stand for? (make/year or something?)
