  1. Funny thing is that when I lived in Henderson (city next to Vegas) I was next to a Walmart in a bad area (Lake Mead), but a bit further down there was a Walmart in a nice area (Sunset). The layout of the store and customers were drastically different, it was rather amazing.
  2. Bit of an old one, but I don't remember it being posted here.

    -------------------------------------------------

A lady walks into a bar and sees a really cute guy sitting at the counter. She goes over and asks him what he is drinking.

    "Magic Beer", he says

She thinks he's a little crazy, so she walks around the bar, but after that there is no one else worth talking to,goes back to the man sitting at the bar and says,"That isn't really Magic Beer, is it?"

"Yes, I'll show you." He takes a drink of the beer, jumps out the window, flies around the building 3 times and comes back in the window.

The lady can't believe it: "I bet you can't do that again."

He takes another drink of beer, jumps out the window, flies around the building three times, and comes back in the window.

She is so amazed that she says she wants a Magic Beer, so the guy says to the bartender, "Give her one of what I'm having."

She gets her drink, takes a gulp of the beer, jumps out the window, plummets 30 stories, breaks every bone in her body, and dies.

The bartender looks up at the guy and says, "You know, Superman, you're a real asshole when you're drunk!"

  3. Hi guys, hoping that someone here might be able to help me out.

Looking at getting a rack for what'll likely be 2-3 mountain trips a year.

I noticed SportRack by Thule seems to have a fairly cheap base rack setup, but I can't seem to find many reviews on them. Anyone have any experience with them?

  4. Heh, it was strange. Where I was in Henderson, NV (city south of Vegas). I lived next to a "People of Walmart" Walmart. In the middle of nowhere next to a bunch of poor communities. 5 minutes from that Walmart there was another one that was far more upscale and more like a traditional Albertsons/Pavillions.

    Quite strange indeed.

  5. One of them support issues the IT helpdesk can receive.

 Ah IT stories are wonderful.

  6. I thought everyone knew this.

They also have incredible purchasing power that pisses off an incredible amount of manufacturers :)

    Neat documentary:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wal-Mart:_The_High_Cost_of_Low_Price

Oddly enough, the closest grocery store is WalMart and it's open 24 hours, so I do a fair amount of trips there.

I'm pretty sure over the course of the past 6 months of living out here I could have checked off all those squares :)
