It was a good day at work today.
I'm not super happy with it, so I may re-make it again. It was a pain trying to get the top perfectly round...ugh.
-
Got any pics of the two? Sound pretty slick...
-
I don't have free access to any of that and also don't want to drop a ton of cash on it, either. Probably aluminum or brass.
-
Not to rub it in, but I am toying with the idea of CNCing a new shift knob on the lathe soon, too
-
No way man! Scrap steel and 2 free hours with CATIA/MasterCam and a CNC mill and we were done. Free is the best cheap money can't buy!
-
Myself and Maytime definitely know how to exploit full access to a CNC mill...

Just thought I'd post a pic of my friend's Legacy taken with my phone (sorry!). I love his wheels! Konigs.

Now that I see the photo again, I'm really sorry for the crappy quality.
That's going to be one rare car...'08 brown wagon with a turbo (MT?)...wow.

I have just had my resonator from the exhaust removed and replaced with straight pipe and also am running a catless downpipe, so a HogZaust could be a bit louder than I'd like...maybe someday
-
Now THAT'S a good idea. Looks like I've got to do some shopping, because mine looks terrible...

Okay, I know this thread has been dead for a long time, but I've got to let you all know how it went down for me.
I tried this today, and to say the least, it's tough. CSTMIZR isn't lying when he said that the 45 degree angles had to be PERFECT. I couldn't get anything to line up well. However, I eventually pounded every corner into place and got it on, and it does make the turbo 'woosh' really awesome sounding.
Spring swap walkthrough - Tein H-Tech's

Edit/update: found some Geo Metro 10mm studs at O'Reilly's and now everything is buttoned up well. FastWRX needs to make note that not just the 1/2" need the longer studs.
--------------------
So, I'm throwing H-Techs on the car, and I've got the 3/8" saggy butt spacers for the rear. Anyone know how to get these on there? The FastWRX website says they'll work with the stock studs, but for all my cursing and flip flopping of the shock assembly I can't get them to sit and have enough room to mount into the trunk.
Now I have a half-disassembled car. Any help? What's the trick?
