I prefer to slip in unnoticed (if possible) get a feel first, then do my thing. I dont want to find out my neighbor is a scat-munching noise Nazi who hates anything louder than a prius. Then i will go stage 0.5, then a month later stage 1, then stage 2...etc.

Did the intake silencer removal a year ago. I couldnt get used to the damn noise it generated. It would sound like a leak (but not consistently) in the exhaust to me. I was always thinking i had an exhaust leak from the up-pipe. Drove me nuts checking for leaks. I finally put it back on and determined that was what i was hearing.

Its kind of hard to get bored with hogzaust since you can always adjust the loudness of the exhaust. Ive never been annoyed by the exhaust (3 washers each side is a good tone). Wish i had a new CBE but i dont. Going to be moving into a new residence and i just prefer to be low-key until i get a feel for the neighbors.

did the hog zaust delete. Had it (i think) a little less than a year. took me fifteen minutes to remove. Back to stock now. Thanks for the fun hogmeat!

back to stock. 5 months of stage 1.5 and everything looks and sounds fine. I think i might have the dreaded uppipe leak so i gotta go stealth for a while so i can listen for it. As soon as that issue is resolved im back to hogzaust!

i own a automatic, go stage 1 or 2. I recommend two washers on the bottom and one on the top (each side)....its a great sound without being too loud. its there yet subtle. My wife likes it.

go stage 1.5 , its perfect! three washers on each side. and yes its not symetrical. but for an 5eat its purrrfect. Ive been stage 1.5 for months now on my 5eat and no problems at all. Best $2.00 ever

I beg to differ. Its very pleasing!
Use 1 to 2 washers on each bolt and you will be hooked! Sounds so good..save the money you were gonna spend on the expensive exhaust and get an UP & DP installed instead.

1.5 means 3 washers on each flange (one top two bottom)

You could take a torch to it and heat it up and try then. Heat the nut evenly till it's almost glowing and have it with your wrench.
where is the fuel tank during all this torching??

After the local PD watching me as i drove around this week i have readjusted it to single washers now....i love the ability to change it around so easily. thanks hog

Its fine like it is. I have to admit i would never have tried it if i hadnt been shown in person what it sounds like. Im using the washers not the copper wire or cut gasket version. Any complaints bout this mod yet?

I went stage 2. So far i like it, apparently its louder inside the cab than outside..or so i am told. Thanks Hawt for showing me this mod in person

I meet another LGT owner who had gone Hogz stage 1.5 and i couldnt see a difference until i layed on the ground. Looks very junky.....but that sound is way better than stock and for a $1.50?!? Im on my way to the hardware store!
