1. the whole thread actually.

I hate feeling compelled to do other peoples homework, I even took a screenshot showing i literally put every vehicle in to look, especially when you can google search all the engine bay pics you want. After having to type this list out, there is zero consistency with this manufacturer. why separate the 2.5i and the outback sport? it's the same car as far as the MAF is considered. same with the wrx's, and the sti's.... why dont they don't know the engine code in the 2009 wrx? or the 2010 vvvveeeeee six legacy?? Shit, I want a v6 legacy, just to see what it looks like under the hood. It's little details like this that really need to make you question, is this a reputable product? Here's the homework I've done for you, I've gone through every model here and looked up its MAF part number. This should be all the information you need, not pictures.

    • 2010 Impreza H4 - 2.5L - EJ253 - 22680AA380
    • 2010 Legacy H4 - 2.5L - EJ253 - 22680AA38A
    • 2010 Legacy V?6 - 3.6L - 22680AA38A I could not see where Subaru may have offered a V6 version of this vehicle, so I selected the H6.

So... the Impreza, including the wrx and sti, along with the forester use the 380 MAF. The turbo legacy/outback and 3.0L flat six use the 31A MAF. The Non-turbo Legacy/Outback uses the 38A MAF.

The 380 and 38A look interchangeable, but as someone said previously, the 31A is a mirror for the mounting holes.

All that being researched and said, for this company to say their MAF is compatible with that list of vehicles, is just a straight up lie. I can only imagine the rest of their information follows the same vein.

I know that I can google that up and as I asked here that I just need a photo of that to be here in this post to use it as a proof to my case cause I'm planning to open a lawsuit against JET.

  2. Here are pictures I took years ago, 2005 LGT.

That's the same style as the one that I got.

I wonder if the 2008 are using this MAF. If it's the same, then I owe them an apology.

  3. generally all these 'chip' type things do is use a resistor to skew the intake temperature reading that the ECM sees so it changes the fueling at that load point.

I am interested to see what kind of testing you do to find its potential gains.

    tune and logging

  4. " The flow bench tested design of the JET Mass Air Sensor provides airflow increases of up to 45% and installs in 10 minutes or less. "

A sensor absolutely can NOT increase air flow.

This is not what I'm here for but I was going to compare it with oem MAF in a big tube intake to see if there is any benefit.

  5. Good Day everyone,

I need your help guys with this issue by only posting a picture of your 4th Gen MAF without removing it from its place. And here is why:

I found that JET have a MAF for our cars and decided to try it out with my setup. I went to the website and got the result as this link

    https://jetchip.com/shop/performance-engine-upgrades/mass-air-flow-sensor/69167-powr-flo-mass-air-sensor/

Most of us who installed an intake know the shape of our MAF is the same for LGT and 3.0R for 4th Gen and also it is the same part number as per Subaru.com website

    https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru__/Mass-Air-Flow-Sensor-Meter-Air-FlowMass-Air-Flow-Sensor/49232593/22680AA310.html

I went ahead and ordered it from JEGS store in Amazon and once it arrives, it wasn't the correct one. I double checked JET website and the box got the same part number that is in the website. The picture in JET website looks generic so I don't have a clue about who is wrong here. I contacted JET regarding this and told them that if they have the correct part number in their website, it must be packed by mistake in the wrong box so I shipped it back to JET not JEGS which means I paid for that shipping.

And when I received the new one, it's just the same as the old one that I received. I contacted them multiple time and they just replied with confidence that they did not make any mistake and I'm the one who is wrong or cheating here.

So can you please guys post pictures of you MAF of your 4th Gen Legacy? :)

  6. Ok car won’t street I did the harness swap everything turns on but dosent turn over?? And it shuts off as soon as I crank it????

I guess this is the immobilizer. Do you have the key security light on after inserting the key?

  7. Hi everyone :)

I also got this head unit in Outback 2008MY. Mine is Kenwood FZDA07ELEF2, also known as FZDA07EREF2 FZDA07MRHF2 for other markets. Here is manual for it.

I don’t want to replace it with some other system, because something like GX-204 is not much better, and no good aftermarket head units are represented. So I’m trying to make it more useful with available components.

The first think which I tried to change is connecting iPhone to that system. I used a Russian analog of GROM-Audio called "Trioma" (it is not 100% same, but looks like it is also using cd-changer inputs), but I couldn’t switch HU to changer mode! Still HU has 20pin connector and iPhone is charging up.

Obvious solution is activating AUX, but you would be able to select tracks with steering wheel control.

So, who knows if it is possible to connect iPhone (or activate cd-changer)?

Another things I ordered is mentioned above cord converter (hope I will activate AUX and install subwoofer), Kenwood TM320 for actual road situation (rather difficult to find), and rear camera (I’ve ordered pins from ae64.com + camera from aliexpress). Hopefully all this stuff will arrive to me in few moths and I’ll make an installation report :)

Is it possible to help me find a used one along with it's screen for LHD??

  8. Some European and Australian Legacy/Liberty models have a different AVN HU (Audio/Video/Navigation) than USDM models. Visionhu posted this picture of the front of a EDM LHD HU and display in this thread:

Cornelius posted in the huge 'OEM navi features hack' thread (which discusses the nav found in 2005-2009 USDM Legacies). Since this OEM nav HU is not the same, I thought it would be better to split that discussion off into a separate thread. With any luck, we'll work out the pin assignments for all of the various connectors.

Could you post the part numbers of both the screen and the HU?

  9. yes. with an extra very.

chances are you won't be able to properly bleed it at all and will end up with a lot of air in the abs module. And I have actually experienced this, where the only way to get things to work was to pull the MC and bench bleed it.

will "Motive Power Bleeder" help on that??
