  1. Silver GT wagon (4th gen) in industrial park in Newbury Port.
  2. Saw a black GT at BJ's/Monroe in Leominster on Wed.
  3. Well yes and I dunno.. It is shifting much, much better than any other fluid I have tried. I am maybe a little too picky, but the supertech stuff shifts by far the best. As far as if it is "better" than the Extra S I don't have any lab analysis of either stuff as a virgin sample. I also don't have any uoa of both fluids of similar mileage and driving conditions. So without this I can't really say that it is "better". I have only put a few hundred miles on the stuff so far but again I have tried just about every gear oil out there. Suprisingly this stuff has been the best. I am really happy with it.
  4. Black GT wagon going south on 128 in Salem this am about 7:00. Anyone here?
  5. Glad this thread was bumped. Put some in and shifting has been great. I've used uncle scotty cocktail, redline, subaru extra S, castrol, and this fluid is by far the best so far. Time will tell though.
  6. BMX again around 7 this morning? Same spot as usual.
  7. I drive through there all the time. I work just past Beverly and I'm always in a atlantic blue 05 GT. There was actually another LGT of your gen a few miles ahead of you when I saw you on Sunday, maybe he was someone here too?
  8. BMX was that you again today (Sunday) on 95/128 near wakefield? About 6:30 or so, you were going north, I was heading south. Hard to see the wheels at highway speeds
  9. My pan was blistered and seeping from the blisters. Did the killer B pickup tube as well for insurance.
  10. If you go easy it is not necessary to remove the pitch stop. I didn't remove it and had no problems. I guess it wouldn't hurt to remove it but that's just one more thing to have to do.
  11. You're my first then..... Spotted that is
  12. Hey BMX, was that you this morning getting on 95 south in Wakefield around 6:30? I was going north and you were just coming around the onramp to go south.
  13. Silver, stock looking GT in Gloucester Sat morning. Anybody here?
  14. Blue Gt wagon getting off an exit on 128 near wakefield. Tinted windows... Car looked good.
  15. Nope. I did remove the two on the tranny cross member but they never moved so I wouldn't worry about them. It was quite easy to jack up and actually the engine seats itself right back into place when lowering.
  16. I wouldn't jack the engine up using the crank pulley. A block of wood under the oil pan is okay. I was able to just remove the two engine mount nuts and then use a block of wood under the oil pan to jack it up when I was changing my oil pan. So you should be okay to do the same I would think.
  17. The subaru t belt kit did not have the 1/2" diameter o ring (well at least mine didn't). It had a tstat gasket and another z shaped gasket that went on the water pump. I have no idea where that 1/2" oring would be used. Dipstick tube???
  18. Just finished up my belt yesterday. The belt itself looked perfect. One or two idler pullies had a bit of notchiness, but not bad. My allen plugs in the block were oozing a bit of oil from them, so I tightened them up a bit, not sure if anyone else's leak too?? FBP timing belt has marks on the belt (at least the gates TBK). I would reccomend that instead of changing the coolant hoses you just change the clamps, the constant tension spring clamps near the exhaust were rotted and allowing seepage. These were mostly the smaller ones for the water pump and oil cooler coolant hoses. All in all not bad of a job at all. My parts total was about 450 with upper and lower rad hoses and a few other misc items.
  19. I also have a broken tab. What exactly are you zip tying it to (mine kept slipping off the coil pack body)? I have a metal strip that put inder the bolt, then I can snug the zip tie to that. Cheap connectors.....
  20. Yes, this part number works for 05 GT's. I would guess that this will fix your problem. I bought the car at 30K. I always had a miss/hesitation to it. Read this and changed them out yesterday. What a night and day difference in the car. I would strongly suggest anyone who thinks that their car may not be 100% try this fix first. Don't jump to plugs, and a hundred other things first. For $25 how can you go wrong?? Thanks to the OP!
  21. The factory manual does not specify a certain mileage of when to replace the timing belt. It only states to check it at certain mileages. So do we only replace it if it looks worn out, or what is the accepted mileage for changing it out (on the 2.5 turbo)?
