My squeaky seat is quiet at the lowest power setting...felt weird at first due to the several years of driving a Legacy with power seat tilted back. I am used to it now and don't mind.

They replaced the seat frame, and for now the seat is quiet again.. Unfortunately they put a serious dent in my rear door, and took a couple small chunks out of 2 interior pieces..

 

 

That sucks...that is why I hate taking cars to dealers.

The noise comes from the left side of mine...no big deal when I am alone in the car because I have the Harmon Kardon cranked loud enough to drown out the sound...when the family is in it and radio turned down it drives me bonkers.

It is funny how I started this thread with my 05 Legacy GT and now my new 09 has the same problem...it is really annoying and with two little ones the stereo is often turned down so I hear it all the time. If I lower it all the way no sound but I feel like I am sitting on the floor. Maybe I should have waited for a 2010...

I just had the recall performed and it still is doing it. I think I am on my second ECU. It is hard to keep it straight because when my wife had an 05 GT wagon it had the same problem a few times. I will be most likely turning it in off lease in a few months, but if I decided to keep it I would be seriously concerned this problem would keep coming back.

Have the squeaks returned after the fix?

My drivers seat squeaks when shifting my weight around. It sounds like it is coming from the springs. I am 200lb so it's not from abuse. It's quite annoying. Does anyone else experience this?

Maybe we should start calling these things Jetta's
