I know it has everything to do with the tranny but I was always told you need the r180 rear diff over the r160 in order to use it hence why I got one when I did my swap

Also if you want DCCD working on the 6 speed, you need to switch to an r180 rear diff

Whats the difference with the JDM 6 speed vs USDM?

 

JDM gears are much shorter than USDM and are geared for the couple thousand rpm's that usdm motors are missing.. They're great for autocross though

Yes you need all of the above.. Except for the DCCD controller, that's optional but recommended. DCCD Pro is amazing.. Linkage from the Spec B is needed. Also, the shifter and reverse cable.. Only PIA part, MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO STUDS ON THE TRANNY.. I've seen other people just take them out and modify it to fit our axles, but it didn't work on my particular transmission.. I had to take '02 WRX inner CV's and frankenstein them to the shafts and outer CV's of the Legacy axles.. They worked but VERY noisy without my DCCD of when it was in full lock.. I will be selling very shortly an entire JDM STi Version 8 swap for $4500.. I recently rolled my Legacy after hitting a deer :-(

I was gonna ask 1000 for it but I figured I wouldnt get any hits on it. I though 700 was a decent price though. I have a startup controller so when I start my car, the pc starts and when I shut off my car, it goes into shut down mode and turns off... All it is is one extra wire connected to your ignition switch ( I used the cigarette lighter seeing it loses power when you turn the car off)

I didn't feel one on the driver side on mine... There is a dip in the floor too on that side

I gotta disagree with this one. There is not a single CarPC case that fits under the seats - unless you go with the tiniest of micro-ATX boards. all the manistream cases like VOOM do not fit under the seat hence it means trunk installation - hence routing a lot of wires.

 

In my opinion, it is far easier and cheaper to go with EEEPC route and mount that under a seat, having less wires to route and taking advantage of the proximity of the center console and of the seat.

 

We both speak from experience. Having a laptop - a package already assembled, tested and tried is invaluable. First off - it if it malfunctions - you have the warranty - assuming you do not maim the laptop in the process. Second, it also makes financial sense: an EEEPC comes already with a windows license. You are just not able to put together a CarPC with an XP license for the price of an EEEPC. And it will work just as well - with one consideration: the ON/OFF button.

 

 

Mine fit under the seat just fine in my WRX... It would fit perfect under the drivers seat in my LGT.. Passenger seat is another story

Once you install the Hogzaust, you can get your intercooler wet again and not worry about anything happening also lol

Nice... What RPM did your VTAK kick in at?

Upgraded to stage 4.. Not really that much louder than stage 2 but there is a noticeable whooshing noise when I get on it... A little while after my turbo spools

I thought this thread was a bunch of BS but for S&G's I actually thought I would give this a shot.. OMG I never thought it actually would have sounded as good as it did lol... Thank you Hogzaust!!!
