Welcome.
Nice photo.
I've a 2006 Outback 3.0R that I bought used a year ago, here it is on a trip I made to Argentina last September:this is by far the best touring car that I've had, very powerful, good acceleration (0-60 in 7.5 seconds or so), fast (145 Km/h) ... it's only downside is that it is rather thirsty, but I'm not complaining
Best regards,
Rudel

You might want to look at moving it to the rear.

#19 part way down is the standard people do here...
Installed it on the inside of the windshield per the instructions. That was the only part of the install I didn't like. -
Welcome!
Where did you place the antenna?
I am aiming for under the rear wing...only had the radio two years...should get to installing it. Which reminds me I have a KB shifter - two years old - need to install that thing. Rallitek RSM...one year...need to install this as well.
I just picked up an 09 OBXT. So far I like it.Installed an OEM Satellite radio myself, (saved over $200 compared to having the dealer do it).
Ordered a KartBoy Shifter
Am considering buying a RaliTek Rear sway bar.

What?! Do tell more.

Hey, new here, I own a Outback XT. I love it now, but a mysterious engine light almost caused me to light fire to it. Seems to be solved, but required new piston rings. Anyone else had any problems? I'm convinced I'm the only one in the world. -
What?! We love the open air look - great at night for passengers to see the stars or the snow fly by like warp speed in space. Great during the day for that open air "feel" without the wind noise and issues...unless we want that too and then we opener up!
Without the tint it was a bit bright at sometimes.
The shade only is closed on HARD stops. (wish I had your brakes...it would be closed more often )
I have never tried driving with the sunroof closed and the sunshade completely opened. If this solves the creaking sunshade noise which I've had from day one, i will start doing it. -
Tinting the sunroof is great in summer! We did ours. It adds UV protection - no sunburn. It also takes the beating sun and glare down. Definitely recommended.
When I bought my XT, i really wanted a limited Atlantic Blue / grey opal with black leather. but i couldnt afford a brand new one, and they didnt have any 06s in that color at the time. The dealer made me a deal on a demo XT limited White / Grey with black leather that only had 10k miles on it. I was happy. The white i think looks good especially now that i have 20% tint all around. I was kinda 50/50 with doing the sunroof, but decided not to. I paid 250 for my tint. I didnt think anyone would tint the sunroof. -

Just drop it!
I'm scared of hieghts this suspension is tooooooo tall for me -
thanks again for the incredible service and great product!
I also want to sincerely thank everyone for helping to make this project so successful. It's really fun to be involved in helping so many people mod their Subarus. Hopefully in the future I can do something more in line with my area of expertise, but until then, the "day job" will have to suffice. Have a good weekend everyone.

Coiled around the shifter 5MT....as seen in pictures in this long thread.
So it's a long weekend here in Canada this weekend and if I have a chance, I will attempt this mod. Have one question...where did everyone put the GLI? -
the screws that hold the CD and will be touching the HVAC are flat head (from memory). I was using the round head ones. I think they may even have had a black dot of paint on them as well. Definitely look at all of them and you will see a difference in a couple.
-
I partial installed 5-6 times with CD working, then finished install with wrong screws and it did not work, until I finally changed out the screws...8pm-2am. Very hard lesson to learn without breaking everything in sight.
check to make sure you used right screws to mount the cd changer back to the body of the stereo. The smallest and shortest screws must be used. If you used the longer screws, something inside of the CD changer is blocked. -
Welcome Portland!

Give it one more try with the screw driver. Mine came free without much force at all.

Welcome!
Blue & Silver? Interesting. Got a photo?
Eastern Oregon I am guess?
New member. '05 OBXT in blue/silver. Mods: K&N Filter (+2 mpg), studded 17" Wintercat tires - at least until March 31. -
You will need to look at how this plugs into your overall system. I bought one of these. It comes with RCAs and one RCA to 1/8" single male, then I need another split for the sat radio and ipod, so needed two other adapters. I did not have them the first night, so had to go back to the store.
Cool, got mine today. Nice work! Will try to install sometime this weekEdit: Anyone have a radio shack part number for the ground loop isolator?
