  1. Sounds stupid to say sometimes....but, if one of the important parts of your car is in questionable order (mileage, possible sketchy condition), replace it. Had mine done by jmp and couldn't be happier with his help. Getting the tgv delete requires a tune, so why not new turbo/up pipe/tune then lots of smiles afterwards?
  2. If those hoses are that brittle and still on the car, that tells me it doesn't have any proactive maintenance done for its long term. Best thing I did when I got mine was purchased the intake manifold gaskets and injector orings. And a few feet of high pressure fuel hose.

Remove the entire manifold. It's easier than it looks man. Replace all the rubber lines you see. Inspect and replace the turbo inlet. Good time to check the turbo for any shafts play also.....

There's plentiful amounts of information on here regarding first time owner check lists. Feel free to pm me for any questions

  3. For the reason to lower your car (I'm assuming) is for the looks/style? Don't end up like so many other people who went cheap as possible to only popping the oem replacement struts and end up spending more later. I am really happy with the bilstein struts in combo with the swift springs on my sedan.

Like the others have said, using the correct application will get you more enjoyment out of the ride. Not to mention also the safety

  4. I've searched for this before anyone says to do so. Besides the usual "trim the radiator hoses" solution, my issue is different. It seems that the radiator is just a little bit taller? It's sits higher than the oem and I'm using the original lower bushings by at least a half inch. All things considered I'm going to use a thin rubber material in its place to bring it down. Too late to turn back and my oem radiator is now a target in the back yard lol....

Anybody else have this happen? Everywhere I looked this is a direct fit part, and all photo images I see it sits flush. If not, at least it will come up in a search for anyone else who is going this route to be aware of.

  5. Running 93 is fine. And if you could, pick up a Cobb access port and get that car off the factory tune. If I had 93 available in OK, I'd be using it instead of the piss water 91 that's sold here to run on my stage 2 tune.

My 05 isn't my daily driver so I am very picky about what I put in it. Engine oil/gear oil/quality fuel/quality parts. Seems to be working well considering I drove it from 36k miles to 95k miles on the Cobb stage 1. Now on the custom stage 2 for the last 10k and going strong

  6. The ride will be a night and day difference with just a bilstein/sway bar kit installed. Keep the factory springs and you'll love the ride as is because of the bad roads.

Pm me and I'll send you a link to a place to get the struts cheaper. Don't forget to get the front spec b top hats to be able to use the b6 struts. Also pick up some avo rear sway bar reinforcement brackets.
