  1. Just wanted to add:

I track tested this kit for the original developer (SeeYah). 19-20psi at all numerous Socal tracks over a year (13 trackdays). Putting +100miles in per trackday. I had the VF52 and had no issues with this kit (assuming the design is still the same) coming undone. I did use zip-ties once and lost one of the channels, but after properly installing the required hardware I never encountered an issue ever again.

Hope that quells any questions of this kit's reliability beyond street driving fun.

  2. More updates! I've done Willow Springs (WSIR) and Streets of Willow (SOW) with this mod. I peak at 20psi and taper off at 15psi on my VF52. I logged 80miles of racing at SOW and 120miles at WSIR. This thing held up like a champ and I suffered no heatsoak issues since you're constantly moving at the track. This thing serves its purpose as being a cheap alternative to an aftermarket TMIC that doesn't spit at boost levels greater than 18psi and also overachieves by being able to handle the long duration, multiple cycles of repeated boost.

For those contemplating this mod, do so in confidence.

  3. I have been running this mod for quite awhile now and it has held up to more than 5 trackdays at 17psi on the VF40. I have since upgraded to a VF52 and am running ~20psi now. I have a trackday coming up, as well as many more. This will be a great test of this mod as to how well it holds the endtanks hold together, especially since im exceeding the limit by a couple psi and will be doing it for 5x 20min sessions -- thats alot of hitting peak boost.
  4. I should have gone for it...next time ;)

I have 245/35/18 on a 8in wide wheel. Offset is 51 and they fit both front and rear w/no fender rubbage or roll either, granted the car is only lowered an inch or so.

I had 225/40/18 RE01s recently and these are waaay wider. I need to post pix of the size difference.

  5. You guys have me curious what i would run out here (Haven't dragged since moving from Ohio). I might have to go on a trek with you guys one day. Tell me one thing. Do you guys get alot of runs? I'm used to getting 8-10 runs for $15bux. I'm all bout the runs/dollar value :D

When I lived in Ohio my best run at KilKare speedway was:

    13.4 @ 101.4mph

    60ft 1.8252

    1/8 8.6280 @ 81.24mph

    Mods at the time.

    MR Downpipe

    ERZ UP

Cobb AP OTS Stg 2 map

    ACT street/strip disc/HD Plate/LWFW

    MR Coilovers 6/8 spring rates

18x8 SSR Comps with BFG KD tires (225/40/18)

I don't think sways, and strut bars would matter so I won't post those.

The rest of the night was 13.5s @ 100-101

  6. #1 Falken Azenis 615 225/45/17

#2 Dayton, OH (originally from Kaneohe, HI)

    #3 Spring/Summer/Fall DD, AutoX, HPDE

    #4 RE-070

#5 These tires have been awesome so far. They've held up to numerous autox's and an HPDE. Stiff sidewall, but not as stiff as the RE-070. For autoX, you may have to cool tires off with watersprayer as they get a little greasy when too warm. I want to try 235/40/17 size next, but prolly won't since this sport/hobby is so expensive, that i may pick up another set of RE070s for $100bux-we'll see though, cuz this tire is so good, i may be willing to be in the negative to get another set.
