I'm reviving this thread for a question.

My sister bought a '15 outback limited a couple of months ago. She called me yesterday, frantic. Her parking lights were on even though the car was off. Since '15 don't have the "virgin switch" it wasn't that. We walked through a bunch of things. When the car was on, the headlights were on (not Auto), the Illumination Switch didn't dim the dash lights, they were full power all the time. It was also at night.

Can a faulty Illumination Switch cause the parking lights to be on all of the time?

ok, last night on I90/MassPike around 10:15pm near Grafton. SWP LGT w/wing - MA plates. I was in the "slow lane". Passed me on the left. I didn't follow since my wife was asleep and I had the cruise on.

OK, I was hoping to be the spotted v.s. the spotter.

8:30am this morning in the Burger King parking lot (Moody St.) GRP LGT.

All of this talk about the FX's now makes me wanna change my plans and cram a set of BiXenon FX's into these things. But I don't wanna leave the Highbeams unhooked and sitting there! I don't know what to do!

I really can't see much of a difference. And I've been staring at them so long my eyes are starting to bugout.

lookslikeanevo, that cutoff is niiiice! what are those again? FX's? I can't follow the number of mods you guys do!

 

Does anyone know where I can find some pics comparing an RX330 AFS v.s. non-AFS projector. I haven't purchased those yet and I wanna see if it's enough to change my plans.

oh great, my non-AFS retro is obsolete before I even start!

 

OK, I'm confused. First, the recommendation was to use non-AFS RX330 projectors and now everyone is calling for AFS projectors. Except MrLuv - and I ain't gonna shoehorn a set of BiXenon's in there.

 

Are the AFS bowls that much better than the non-AFS bowls?

I'm "ever so slowly" putting together the pieces for this retro. I'm hoping it happens before the snow starts.

Question for you guys who have done the retro already:

What do you guys do to reduce the turnaround time testing for cutoff and color? I know that once the retro is done, the # of washers is variable. I don't want to be running back-and-forth to the kitchen to re-bake and re-attach the lights - just to add/remove a washer. Is there a better way?

I live in Waltham and my bro lives in Brighton. I recently got an '05 LGT from RadRex in ME and my bro is thinking about trading in his 2001 RS for an '06 LGT AT.

So are you guys saying you basically "swiss cheese" the inside of the cat and then dump out the pieces (rinse and repeat)?

I see in here and the marketplace people selling OEM & gutted uppipes and downpipes. How does one gut one of these pipes? Is one pipe easier to gut than the other? What do you do with the cat innards when you're done?
