pics no worky, and maybe you should ask ur dealer about the popits, they could probably give u few for free.
-
well how about in the inside of the light that was my greatest worry before I jump into the mod
no, no deposits there, looks normal from the inside, you'll also have to apply the silicon closer to the outside rather than the in.
-
yes it did. wiped some of it but some is still hanging out, not a big deal though.
-
I can imagine that on the LGT, painting HLs wouldnt look very nice, if someone can photochop or mess with the colors and give us a prespective on how it would look that would be great.
-
ya Im curious too.
-
Its not a big deal to take off, and you dont have to, but it would make your life alot easier if you do. It is much easier to work with the headlights outside.
This post should help.

why need a D2S bulb HID kit when there's like a billion other H1, H3, H7 or 9003 to 9007 based HID kits out there that are plug and play? Is there something that I am missing or is there something about must having a S2S or D2S bulb??
Keefe
well I put on D2S and has to trim the cover but not a big deal, I find D2S 4300K, (the one I have), has a nicer color then the H7! Im not sure why is that but I compared mine to a freind's and mine is nicer. I dont know the physical difference tho.

those pics are kinda bad. put up some brighter ones' date=' from farther away with your new lights on if possible. i wanna see them. congrats on the mod though, i know it's alittle unnerving taking apart perfectly good/expensive headlights.[/quote']
here they are, it would be better if you save picture then open it with picture viewer.

hey guys, I finally got to install them and guess what, I cleared my headlights too. Check the pictures out.
I love them, 4300k(D2S bulb) look exactly like BMW's factory HID. I had alittle hard time fitting them but not that bad.
Enjoy.

My dealer would laugh at me. I don't think they'll do anything that they don't see in their training manuals...
...anyways... just do it, its not that bad aslong as you are careful. I was doubtful about the whole idea until i saw the end result for myself.... breath taking. (new pic in vbgarage if your interested)
Its really nice! I like it thats why I wana clear mine. I'll ask my dealer if they refuse i'll do it my self.
I just noticed something tho, the headlights when cleared dont really look the same as the JDM, its more like a mirror look on USDMs, do you agree or its just the picture?
-
does anyone know if the dealer would do it? I will ask them on my next maintenance but if anyone already asked a dealer, what did they tell u?
-
well centerpunch Im glad that everything is going fine with your legacy, I just dont feel like messing with the wires, Anyway, I'll try to look for a way and let you know right here.
-
Since I dont feel like cutting wires, did anyone figure out another way to do it throu the remote?
thnx,
K.
