Im not familiar with that one. Mine is a Forced Perfmance 68hta with a 7cm compressor
If memory serves, this BNR 68HTA uses a 7.5 cm compressor. I picked this up when they were first released. The 7 cm compressor seems to correlate to higher peak torque than those with 7.5 and 8 cm compressors. My peak torque is a very respectable 368 ft/lbs. The HTA68 can flow alot of air under higher boost pressures.
With E85, mine peaks at 23.5 psi and tapers to around 20 psi at redline. Because of that, a TMIC with improved flow can help optimize performance more than you might see with lower boost targets. But that doesn't mean that you wouldn't see a notable gain running 93 octane and lower boost targets.
When I was running a Perrin TMIC at Stage 2 with a Protune on 91 octane, it was around 20 whp more than comparable cars on the same dyno on the same day using the same tuner. Torco race gas tunes using the factory TMIC were about the same as what I was getting with the Perrin on 91.
So, the moral of the story is pretty simple. An intercooler with better flow is very likely to provide you with a respectable bump in performance. They are not just window dressing. Are they worth the investment? Some would say yes and others would tell you to invest in headers, alcohol injection or any other number of things.
I would expect the GS TMIC to be an improvement over the Perrin design but for me, it is as much about quality as it is output. I literally hate taking the Perrin off with putting it back on being even worse. If it is better for maintenance, I'm all too happy to give them my money. If it opens up other turbo options and it provides better performance, that is all gravy to me.

Which compressor housing did you go with? I also have a HTA68 and with supporting mods, I'm curious to see what numbers I'll be able to put down on 93
It's the BNR VF-40 hybrid. Currently have a peak of around 348 AWHP on E85. This is using a Perrin style TMIC.

I like the idea of staying with a TMIC - I like the stock (ish) look + the ease of installation.
Being in CA - I have no desire to change a FMIC out for a TMIC every two years.
I have had a hard time finding stage two comparisons of TMIC on stage 2. PDX tuning seemed to have one which showed very modest gains.
Grimmspeed shows 35 whp and 37ftlb on a vf39 on their current intercooler - which seems really good (not sure how that would translate over to a VF46 though). http://www.grimmspeed.com/top-mount-intercooler-subaru/
Last time I checked, a Perrin style TMIC is good for around 20 whp when tuned on a VF40/46. I can't wait to see what this does with the HTA68. It should also allow for more turbo options for those of us who want a clean TMIC with adapter. If so, I WILL put a stock location Garrett on order.

It just occurred time that I will need to set up another appointment with Dave / Cryotune to update it once I get this. With a core that large, the flow characteristics should be alot of fun. This would have to be good for another 10 whp over a Perrin style TMIC.

Just to add to this, I just posted dyno results from a tune with Dave in Mountain West. Excellent service all around.

Single washer at the turbo. No stacking. I had a long necked banjo fitting made so that the AN connection is not hitting the turbo housing. I tried to "correct" all the "issues" reported with the FP line. Then take it a few steps farther.
Consider me to be corrected.
Does the filter element allow for adequate flow?

That fills the gap in the market quite nicely. How many washers did you need to use to get the line to clear at the banjo fitting at the turbo? I'm using two for my FP line as long as the connector is perfectly parallel to the turbo housing. It would be nice if someone came up with a banjo fitting that would clear the housing without stacking washers. Just my two cents and I don't need to tell you what that is worth.

Guess I was a hair too late to get into the pics.

I just may stop by myself.

If you don't plan on going with E85, the top feeds are probably overkill. Either way, I'm sure you will love it when it is all put together.
