Today when I picked up lunch ( around 12:15ish)I saw a DGM 08-09 LGT in Highwood, IL. It had a factory spoiler, aftermarket wheels, and a North Shore Subaru license plate frame.

I spotted a DGM 08-09 Spec B yesterday on 59 just south of Barrington. It had tinted windows, factory wheels, and factory rear spoiler.

Any other SpecB owners in the Chicago area?
I'm in Mundelein and have an unrare 08 spec B. Been wasting money on other things then my car lately so no real mods as of this moment.

Found most of what I was going to ask about......................

I get the LGT, what's the "CAN"? Canadian American Noob? Okay, not. I figure it has something to do with either tire presurre monitoring (doubtful) or stability control (more likely) since I've seen "can" referred to as something recently mandated in the USA. Both of those were recently mandated, me thinks. Its not the new CAFE standards as those are not yet mandated. Could be something to do with Californian something or another, but then somebody's lying since they said CAN was something mandated in the USA, nationally. Sure, Califronia's in the USA, but it ain't the whole the USA. So, what is CAN?

If you are talking about what I think you are, it's called a CAN bus system. In simple terms its a way to transmit information and cut down on the wiring used in a car and amount of sensors needed. So lets take a coolant temperature sensor (CTS). The engine control module (ECM0, the transmission control module (TCM), the instrument cluster, and even the climate control module all need a coolant temperature reading. Instead of haviing a temp sensor for each module they use one sensor that sends its information to a module (in this case usually the ECM). THe ECM then takes the information and puts it out on the CAN bus. Any module that is looking for the information now can get it. With Audi's system they only use two wires for the CAN bus also which saves a lot of wiring on top of not needing all those extra sensors.

I parked next to a 08 spec B yesterday. I didn't even realize it. I was walking out of my car and hit lock and I heard it beep like 5 time and I was like WTF? Then I turn around and see the silver spec B as a guy was getting into it.
Where was this? Probably not me, but I tend to hit the lock/unlock thing a couple of times.

Enkei SC05s. They're supposed to be a new design. Unfortunately they didn't come in antracite so I had to get them painted the same color as Audi Titanium package RS4 wheels. They look real close to RS4 wheels too!! I'll try to get some better pics tomorrow and hopefully I'll have time to wash it too.

My biggest buy as of yet for my spec B. I just put them on and haven't even road tested it to settle the suspension and I have the stock wheels in the back, plus its dirty . So what does everyone think?

Spotted a DGM 08 LGT that looks stock in the parking lot of Wendy's on the corner of RT22 and RT41 in Highland Park today. I've seen that car there before and since its the one of the only places with in walking distance of my work just wondering if its someone here.

Bosco, the Spec.b must have been an '06, only year of light silver spec.b's and if it didn't have a spec.b badge it proves the '06 as well.
08's come in Quartz Siler Metallic which is a lightish silver too.

Wednesday On Milwaukee Ave. near Buffalo Grove going north I saw a black, with really dark tinted windows and a roof rack LGT. Anyone? You wouldn't have noticed me since I was riding in a co-workers car.

Silver 05-06 Legacy with factory spoiler going west on Il RT22 just past IL RT41. You wouldn't have noticed me cause I was test driving a customers car at the time.

Just put my rear lip spoiler on last night, compliments of Rommel.
Did you have any fit issues? I ran into some complications with mine. Its like mine is twisted and I could never get it to line up at all. Rommel is taking care of it, but I was wondering if anyone had any issues like I did.

Just got my RBS V2 spoiler the on tuesday. Just waiting for night when I work late so I can put my car inside for a bit and warm it up to install it. Stupid IL weather going from 87-56.

Wow I LOVE your rims.
What are they? I want something like that, w/o the STi though ...
Those are LSTi wheels by Enkei. I've been eye balling them for awhile now and almost had a set. Japanparts.com has them, but I've pmed him twice and renewed a few threads he started and still haven't gotten a response back.

A bad pic of my spec B. Front windows have a light tint, backs are medium. Had a clear bra put on. I've got also got a RBS V2 spoiler on order with Rommel. I also had the foglight centers mostly painted balck and left the outside edge silver.

Also in the exterior section I started a thread to show Rommel that there is interest in the rear vents that replace the reflectors. So if you want the vents sound off there!!!
