  1. This is where I ended up. 1mm pill on a stock turbo. Working just fine. 1.2mm was not enough.
  2. This is a thread about : http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101008 Here is the link: http://ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html I did not need a harness, as I have one unused, first kit works without it no problems on LGT. Actually, it is $59 + $9 shipping.. sorry, $69 total then.
  3. last week was new year week, so it may be a delay. For example: I have ordered HID set from DDMTuning on 15th of december.. After waiting 2 weeks, tried to contact them any possible way, no luck.. Was ready to cancel my CC transaction, but 3 days ago received tracking number, should have the kit in 2 days. It was really cheap offer, DDM kit for a $60 shipped, or so. But, not responding to a PP claim looks really strange.. May be they are russians? Still might be drunk form a new year party, wich last not less then 1 week :-)
  4. ^^ You'll receive both orders soon, I think..:-)
  5. It is still on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/USB-Cable-KKL-409-1-VW-AUDI-OBD2-OBD-USB-VAG-COM-409-1_W0QQitemZ250338857064QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Automotive_Tools?hash=item250338857064&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Same cable in the same store I've got mine from.
  6. Cable is just a cable. No difference after you setup a driver. Driver may be more difficult, but not a cable. Does not matter what cable you are using after connection was established. Have a great NEW YEAR, my friends!
  7. Different merchants has a diff pricing, this is what i meant. I've got this cable for a $8 + shipping, does this mean autonostic has wrong cost? Nope. same for a guys with free shipping, as it is really free:-) Price is different.
  8. why you think it is $15 cable? :-) it may cost from $7 to $25, and production cost , I think, is about $4...
  9. For me it was more then a week, about 8-9 days total. If you need it faster, get from FL, not really big money :-) I was busy anyway, so I've ordered from HK
  10. As i remember (short memory, you know..) i've used downloadable driver, but manually selected which *inf file to use, pointing in "update driver" page.. Without this, it used wrond driver, does not work.
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=260297054101 this is mine.. 14 shipped, from Hong Kong
  12. I think the only a way to do it yourself is to read and learn, ask questions here, tune, datalog (repeat 100 times :-) .. You can start with mickey'd stage 1 map ( free here) , and start tweaking it, and learn what are you doing by datalog.. very small steps ech time. I am doing the same, so far car did not blowup, but runs much better than on OTA TDC or TA map..
  13. Replaced a pill , went to 1.2mm (from 1.25), adjusted WGDC init duty. Car much easier hits the boost , but it looks like this: little overboost (-0.2 - -0.5 boost error) on WOT 4th and 5th gear, but still underboost (about 1-1.5 psi) on WOT for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd . I do not care for a 1st and 2nd, but need to have it on 3rd. What table I have to adjust? If I've add WGDC - it will overboost more on high gears.. Any suggestions? I am newbe to this, please do not kill :-)
  14. Got my cable (ebay), connected, pointed to a driver fiolder, forced to use downloaded driver (Vista first did not recognized it, so I've used "have Disk" option, manually selected *.inf file, then selected a driver). Connected to a car, and copied my ECU to a laptop. 3 min total!
  15. H-tech looks great! Only one concern (for me) - rears too low. I was afraid if I'll have in trunk some heavy things or a man on the rear seat, rear will be lower than front. which is not good, on highway especially. But now, with cobb, I want front just a little higher.. 0,2 inch would be great.. Hitting holes would be easier..
  16. Right. I did not. Just jacked it up, and wrapped tape aroung coils. Here some photos for your: http://www.koloskov.com/temp/1.jpg http://www.koloskov.com/temp/2.jpg http://www.koloskov.com/temp/3.jpg http://www.koloskov.com/temp/4.jpg
  17. Update on click noise- wrapped coils with electrical tape - and it gone. Not good for Cobb's spring reputation, But now it is quiet as stock and I am happy. :-)
  18. Actually, it was not aligned right way.. I've rotated them , but it does not help.. small clicks still present - but only can hear when window open, coming from outside.. With closed windows - it is quiet. Will call cobb next week.
  19. ^^ I'll check. Thank you for pointinig on this.. I've tried to mout it for best fit with a new spring.. Not sure it is facing outside with this 2 holes.. BTW, these 2 holes (on a pic) are from the top of seat, or on the bottom ? Looks like on top. Also will snap some pictures this weekend.
  20. Ride is good. It is even smoother than stock on a flat surface :-) My wife told the car is "glued" to a road now. On a rough road, it is OK (except the rattle I have) till it hits limiter. Big BOOM after that. Now you can't run through railroad, or anything like a bumps on a road fast.. 10 mph max, I would say.. Otherwise - big BOOM, and your teeth does a ‘click’ too :-) Looking at compressed spring ( under car's load) I can see how close coils to each other.. you can barely put a finger between them. I think they are hitting each other quite often. But as for me, the ride quality much better. Much less body roll on cornering, hood not jumping or diving any more on accel/braking. So far I like them.
  21. Installed Cobb springs last weekend. Looks so nice now!!! Thank you for a walkthrough. Rear and fronts came out really easy - I've sprayed them with BP blaster a couple days ago, repeting application night before. Today I found that I have an issue with noise: making full steering wheel turn , it makes squeeze noise.. like rubber to a rubber noise. Looked at tophat nuts - they rotate (with the rod) when I am rotating the wheels.. Is it how it should be? can somebody check if they rotates on others car? The spring itself sits where it should be, bottom and top. Also some "clunking" noise over a bumps.. Hope it will gone soon. Thanks, Alex
  22. Yes, it was a price to buy it, not to rent. I just couldn't realise that they will give me a full refund knowing I used it.
  23. ^^ Ops.. I did not get it right :-0 Thanks for clearing things out!
  24. Going to do Cobb spring swap soon. Thank you for an excellent write - up! Asked in autozone for spring compressor - $40 for rent! The same price for a big torque wrench. It is lot of money, just for rent, IMO. Anybody know a cheaper place to rent?
