Anyone have a picture of this backing plate? I'm pretty sure I've got a bad bearing up front somewhere and am getting ready to replace it. Just want to make sure I know what I'm doing before jumping in. Sounds like a real basic job. Also want to do this when I'm swapping in my new DBA rotors since the old ones will be off.

Same here. All the switches work smoothly EXCEPT the drivers window one . What the hell. Why didn't they make all the switches rocker style is beyond me. The switch feel absolutely sucks; although nothing has stuck ....yet. Think I'll have them replace it before the warranty runs out in a few K miles.

I assume you're talking to me. Yes, I'm PDX Stage 1. Should be in my sig. Car has craploads of torque. I initially thought it was clutchplates slipping in the rear diff but now I'm not so sure.....

Stock suspension here and yes I have the problem .

On more investigation I find it is a lot easier to induce the noise on an accelerating right turn vs accelerating left.

 

If our engines spin the same way most RWDs do (spins rr tire because it tries to lift it) then this has to be coming from something in the rear sub-frame, diff, or rear drivetrain.

 

I thought it may be from the center bearing, but I don't think what I have recently found supports that theory.

 

Also, it sounds like it is coming from the rear.

 

 

Yeah, I think I'm getting the same noise as you all. Especially under a hard right turn and REALLY jumping on it I get a .......ratcheting noise is the best way I can describe it. I can't localize the sound though. Only happens for a second or two then disappears. Temps seem to have to be cold to do it. I also got this same sound when I turned into my street. There's a slight hump at the entrance and the suspension loads up if you hit it at slow speed but full on the throttle. I can induice this sound when I hit the hump thus loading up the suspension/drivetrain momentarily which leads me to believe it's possibly the clutchpacks somewhere slipping. Center diff, rear....? Before anyone says it, I'm not pulling some Dukes of Hazard stupid slam the car into speed bumps; I'm talking a mild subtle rise in the road.

Spotted gray Sec B on 195W this morning on the MA/RI border. NH license plates I think, it was tought to tell with all the rain falling plus you blew by me. I was in the silver wagon and you passed me at exit 1.

East coast to Europe is about 3,000 miles, so that seems right to me... plus I don't have to worry about it sinking!

Silver GT wagon crossing the Braga Bridge westbound 195 about 4:10 this afternoon. I was in the black OBXT eastbound.

Spotted a red wagon heading 24S at 2:30 today around exit 17. I was heading 24N. Beanboy, was that you?

It was me. I usually wave to every LGT I see, but I was in a hurry, I was late picking up a friend. Next time I will make sure I slow down and wave.

Black LGT with stock spoiler headed south on RT 146 in RI from RT 102. I was the white LGT with the mentally challenged people in it.

 

Hey RobE , I think I saw you this past Saturday night on Rt 4 N in East Greenwich around 10PM. A white sedan LTD with like 18" wheels. You pulled right in front of me. I am driving a siler LGT silver wagon. Was that you ?

Damn it! None of those ABP wagons in the RI area were/are me. I'm going to take a road trip down to Norfolk VA this weekend, stopping in Hershey PA. Maybe someone else will spot me!

Spotted a Regal blue wagon GT yesterday on RT 1 in warwick parked at the hair salon by Casters cycles. Hopefully not a guy ...hair salon?? .

Atlantic blue pearl Legacy wagon GT spotted 95 N at exit 14 in RI yesterday at 4:30PM. Was that anyone here? Only the second GT wagon I've seen in my parts since I got mine 8 months ago.
