  1. So turn the assistance systems off. Then it won't take any fun out of your spirited driving. You're wrong. On mine at least, if you switch a system off it remains off the next time you start the car.
  2. New owner is very lucky given how you take care of your vehicle! Plus it is unique, too.
  3. Great to know - I'll be getting a 2018 Legacy (Liberty here in Australia) in a year or so and it will come with gloss black power window switch surrounds and I've been dreading that!
  4. Looks really good! Did you wrap the area around the gear shift too? Any tips on how to do that? Did you disassemble the centre console or wrap it in place?
  5. It will show up dust, fingerprints and be very susceptible to scratches but would look nice when clean.
  6. No idea - fitted the Potenzas when the car had only done 11,000km (roughly 7000mi for you yanks ). Still plenty of tread left on the Dunlops.
  7. When I was looking at tyres I searched the Michelin website but they didn't list any tyres in 225/50R18. However I just checked their website again and they do list Primacy 3 in this size. Not sure why it didn't come up a few months ago. I have a friend who swears by Michelin tyres but I would still have gone with the Potenzas as I've had such good experiences with them and I'm more than happy with my purchase - could well be the best $700 I've ever spent!
  8. I replaced the factory Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tyres with the same Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres that came with my previous two Libertys (Australian market). The Bridgestones are slightly quieter on coarse road surfaces than the Dunlops but what I wasn't expecting was how much better the ride is. On the Dunlops, the car would 'crash' over deeper potholes and recessed man-hole covers - but now the larger hits are smoothed off nicely. You're still aware that you ran over a pothole but now it's not as jarring and harsh as before. I definitely recommend the Potenzas as a worthwhile upgrade for Aussie drivers.
  9. Thanks tigger. The Potenza RE050As on my first Liberty (gen 4) lasted 35,000km. I did 40,000km in my gen 5 and the RE050A tyres on that car still had quite a bit of tread when I traded it. Interesting to see the life of the RE003s.
  10. Are the Bridgestone RE003's as quiet as the Goodyears & therefore quieter than the Dunlops were?
  11. denokarter, those could be my all-time favourite wheels on a 6th Gen Liberty. (Sorry, Legacy.) Kudos!
  12. I used a gps to determine the speedo differential from the real speed, then video recorded the speedo on some 0-100km/h runs and found I was getting times around 7.2-7.3 sec with one occupant, a/c off & a full tank of fuel. My previous gen 5 3.6R was getting 6.9-7.0 sec.
  13. Do you happen to have a GPS acceleration timer, or access to one? I'd be interested in what acceleration times you can achieve with the tune on a 3.6R.
  14. Dumb question: if 6 ohm resistors are required per bulb to fix hyper-flashing, would putting two sets of 6 ohm resistors in line with the rear bulbs and none with the fronts achieve the same end result?
  15. Hmmmm... has anyone on the forum had a 3.6R tuned yet?
  16. Wow, that's pretty cheap! By comparison I'm paying $180 for a piece of plastic!
  17. How much were the rotors, tigger? I myself have a part waiting for me at the dealership to pick up tomorrow too.
  18. Tigger is not using his opinion to put down other people on this thread, so he is not being offensive nor rude towards other forum members. Other people are using their opinion to accuse Tigger of lying. There is a big difference.
  19. I'm glad you agree that Tigger has had great success!
  20. Well, that is your opinion. Tigger has actually *done* the tune and *driven* the car after the tune and he's very happy with the result. To everyone else bashing Tigger's decision to tune his car, YOU HAVEN'T DRIVEN HIS CAR so what makes you think you are qualified to pass judgment on the improvements he's seen? It's like writing a review and passing judgment on a movie - when you haven't actually watched the movie.
  21. Well done!!! I am very impressed with your achievement. I would be far too scared to try anything like this.
