  1. I haven't done it, but the people I've talked to that have, say that its really good. The instructors will really push you no matter how good your driving is and will always insist that there is always room to improve. I've stayed away because of the price, but there is a WAI driving school that costs around $60 on June 28th. The WAI driving school is more focused on beginners (less than 1 or 2 years experience)... I did it last year and was pretty pleased with it.

Thanks for the input, someone else mentioned the June 28th event to me. I think I'm going to do that one and then run the event the next day.

    WHO ELSE WANTS TO GO!!???

  2. Anyone familiar with Evolution Driving School? One of the director's in my department here at work (Drives a Boxster) invited me to head to an event they are holding here at Miller Park (July 17th). It sounds like you get lots of training and lots of autox track time. The cost is $260 which is high compared to the cost of just Autox.

    Is it worth it?

  3. There are a few more saturday auto-x's. June 7th, July 19 is day #1 of the SCCA National Tour but you need an SCCA membership, August 2nd is the 1st day of the GASS event which is always a blast, and then SCCA has another event on August 16th. Tri-State also has two saturday events in September (13th and 20th).

Hmmm, I could do August 2nd but it sounds like it's more than one day? I'm going to search around and look for info on that.

zzz, like the pics and hope you get those rims soon!

  4. It looks like most events are on a sunday and I'm booked every sunday through summer with my hurling league - Sunday is game day. The one Saturday race I need to head to a wedding. Doh!

I'll have to pick one game that I'm going to miss and come to a race.

  5. You just have to look at the schedules for the clubs that run the events:

http://www.tsscc.org/ - travels all across WI, IL & IN, so usually has 2 or 3 at Miller Park.

Are you going to be there tomorrow?

Hey man, thanks for the info...it slipped my mind on Sunday and I forgot to head down. I'm less than a 10 minute drive to Miller Park so I'm going to keep my eyes open for the next thing.

Also, a guy I work with has an 03 Boxster and has done autox at Miller Park. He and I are talking about going to one he knows about in August.

  6. Guys, nice to meet you all today....here are my pics. Let's do that Brewer's game sometime.

  7. Talk about an oxymoron...

Yea, my place is by Elver Park, so I'll sponser a couple of drinks afterwards if people are interested (I'll have to look into drinkin at the park, not sure if it's ok...) Now I just have to find a grill and get some food to cook up!

If anyone is a fan of disc golf bring your discs because Elver Park has a SWEET course. Other than that there is fishing, soccer fields, etc. at the park. I'm guessing 100+ cars

it was supposed to be funny ;)

  8. Wow I wish i could of got a free oil change deal for life with buying the car, but atleast i can put synthetic oil in mine i guess, and also use a bigger filter.

That's the one reason I don't put synthetic in....I'll take the free stuff ;) It was also very nice going from expensive Volvo dealer oil changes to free Subaru dealer changes.
