instead of cutting wires, is there a DRL sensor that can be covered up making the car think its night time? that would be pretty spiffy.. how does DRL sensor work?

As far as I can tell, there is no sensor. It's just a dumb relay box that controls the lights themselves. I suppose you could wire in some photo sensor,but I don't think it would be worth the trouble.

great idea but what happens if something goes wrong while the car is under warranty and the dealer sees it and voids everything.

Tell them it came that way.

I don't know of any state in the union that requires DRL. Correct me if I'm wrong:woowoo:

Did it yesterday... real hard to get the wire out of the connector.

If I had to do it again, I'd just cut the wire without even pulling it out of the DRL module. IMHO
