They both start at the front under the radiator, it just depends on how much more you want to cover. The smaller one on top is the one I normally find on those 3.6's. Still gives you access to remove the oil filter without oil hitting the tray.
I have the smaller (top option) on my car.
Do you know if the 3.6r ever came with the other larger cover that covers the oil filter and drain plug? or is it just this one cover?
I can't find a straight answer just googling.
I brought my car to the mechanic because when I drive in the rain I get a check engine light. They said they thought I was missing the splash guard and that is allowing water to get all over the wires in that area?

If I was cruising slowly in a parking lot, or rolling a stop sign the throttle had a 1 second lag.
The dealership did a software update and it fixed the problem.
I'm curious did anyone here have the same issue and get a software update?
The throttle response, paddle shifter response on this vehicle is surprisingly good compared to other comparable vehicles.

When I drive my car in the rain, car wash, or deep snow I am getting a check engine light, the car will also idle rough, and I can't accelerate like normal. The car goes back to normal very quickly. Check engine light goes away on it's own.
Since the engine codes were already cleared by the system all the technician could find was this wire unplugged.
1) If this plug gets wet could it cause a check engine light?
2) What does this wire actually do? I've noticed since they plugged it back in my idle is much lower, the gas pedal is less touchy, slowing to a stop is much smoother.
Thanks again!
