I have a 21 XT Touring and End of August 2022 I left work and the battery was dead.

Had it checked out at the dealer and they said it was good. Fast forward one month later and same scenario.

On my own I put an AGM battery in and complained to Subaru. They did reimburse me.

    Those OEM batteries are JUNK.

I have a case open this week with SOA and yesterday they called me at work and I asked about buying my own and getting reimbursed and they told me no. Not even a goodwill credit. Said I need to deal with the dealership and that’s if it’s even deemed warrant repair so I even pled my case about having to take time off and them keeping my own vehicle and that I have all mine on video but they will just charge my battery and say it’s good and I waste using my time off from work, gas, time back and forth. I even said if my battery takes a dump and have to tow my car to the dealership as a I told you do and she still said they are privately owned and they can still say it’s not a warranted repair even if my vehicle is still under 3y/36k and I have 10y/100k gold. I got tired and told her to just keep my case open and I will have to schedule a weekend to bring it in and see what they would do, at least it would be documented. Why have warranty when you are guilty until proven innocent? Like even videoing my experience and yet still we are liars and they won’t be able to duplicate the issues and off we go. $300 for a AGM Odyssey is a chunk off anyone’s wallet when it’s under warranty and they should just replace the battery even with a larger 750 without hesitation.

Anyone had problems in their 22' yet for original battery? Should be concerned about it? Still have the old OEM battery.

i just started having issues with mine. no solution yet. they have to diagnose it but i dont have time to leave my vehicle with the dealership. what i am experiencing is always having to keep mine on a charger every few weeks and if i dont and forget the slow cranking and then fire up like low voltage. proving my concerns to the dealership is like pulling teeth. this started happening this week. i scheduled an appointment couple weeks out in case it gets worst. mine is factory 620cca battery in my 2022 marked 2-xx-2022 on the battery.

When I bought my Subaru in 2019 they offered 3 years of STARLINK® Safety Plus and STARLINK® Security Plus for $75 which I signed up for. Now I see that it is set to auto renew (they have my credit card info) at $150/year. For that price it is not worth it to me so I turned off the auto renewal. Have others seen any discount offers?

Check your pricing and turn off auto renewal here: https://www.mysubaru.com/starlink/subscription-billing.html

    Yep renewal is $149.90/year.

  4. about 400 miles a month, good lord... why even have one? But then who am I to talk? I put about 12 miles a day on my car, so it works out about the same. I'm not walking those three miles to work!

My new 2002 Toyota Tacoma at 18 years of ownership that had 135k miles on it when I sold it in 2020. My new 2020 Hyundai Tucson had 9.4k miles when I traded it into Subaru towards my new Legacy back in March 2022.

  5. What are the chances they update the software to support wireless CarPlay?

I’m pretty bummed because I just got a 22 legacy and the non-wireless CarPlay made me scratch my head

I commented on their IG post and they told me to contact Subaru Advocacy Department, I did and they said:

"We do not yet have information on the next software update for the radio unit in Outback and Legacy models or what will be included in said update, but we are anticipating the update to become available soon as our engineers finish putting together the various troubleshooting updates that will be included."

  6. Thank you! Just going to do a light tint to the windows and I think im done

    Hopefully…:D

And i was lucky enough to grab this right off the lot…where i live, to order a legacy was a 4 month wait:(

Yeah that was the first thing I did was tint mine. I went with 20% front and 5% rear Rayno S9 Phantom Nano Ceramic on mine. Driving in a fish tank was too much.

Did the rear lip with torsion bars…bars were a little tricky but doable…you literally have to lay in the trunk to make it work:lol

Also added oem wind deflectors..pretty nice and no noticeable noise

That's clean. I wish the Touring XT came with rear spoiler not just the Sport. Also the side door moldings too. I wish again it just came stock from factory. My 22 Touring XT was on the lot without these so I bought that one on the lot vs ordering/waiting for a Legacy.

  8. How do you like the starlink remote start? My '22 XT Touring Legacy was arriving this weekend to my dealer and I opted for that instead of the fob.

I've used and prefer the app. Sure you have to pay for the service but I like the ability to have the options to set my climate control being in California vs the fob.
