I got one for a 2002-2007 WRX/STi is at going to hurt the far I have it positioned downwards toward the old sound deadening box I'm not sure if it's gonna hurt the car. Will it?

I got a spt intake for my 2008 legacy gt I ordered the one for the 02-07 WRX on accident. I still tried to run it, there's no issues so far I was wondering if anyone else has the same thing I just rotated it down into the bumper and it doesn't seem to upset the MAF I'm just worried it might break something.

I was reflashing the my 08 legacy gt last night and the battery was starting to die and lost connection about 74% into reflashing my ECU with my tactrix and now I keep getting a message popping up on my dash and I can't get it out of diagnostics mode and I'm pretty sure it's bricked I don't know what to do can anyone help!??!?!?!????
