Touch the sway bars yet? Many find good bang for buck, esp rear.
No I havent touched the sway bar, I might do it in the future.

So I am now on the Bilstein B8 shocks. They are feeling great. I am also running them on my stock tophats. I read around that the Spec B tophats are required, but I had a shop install them on my stock hats without an issue.
So far it's running well.
While I was getting the shocks done, I also installed every poly suspension bushing that Whiteline makes for the Legacy (did not do the diff, in fear of vibration). It's definitely a great upgrade. I was afraid that the bushings were going to transfer a lot of noise and vibration, but it turned out to be very minimal if any. Its kind of awesome. If anyone is on the fence about installing suspension bushing don't be, the ride comfort hasn't changed from stock, the steering inputs are just much more sharp. I 100% recommend it for anyone.
The car is becoming more and more of the cruiser that I have always wanted.

I appreciate it guys.
I am in the process of freshening up my shocks. Or I will actually be doing more testing than anything else. I have a set of Bilstein B8's as well as Tein Endurapro Plus. I'll be mounting both and then seeing which I will be sticking with. I really like the idea of Tein's Hydraulic bumpstops, but at the same time I am all for a monotube shock from Bilstein. I will keep you guys updated.

anyone ever tried the stahlbus?

Still loving my tune from Mike. You'll be happy.
are these guys still in business?

I figured I should document my legacy.
Been into cars for quite some time, have a lot of track builds but daily driving rice rockets and track cars just doesn't give a good look especially when going to business meetings or on dates. The Legacy fits exactly what I'm looking for. So wanted to document this daily driver build. I just want to cruise and look good in this thing.
I already have a Cobb Accessport and intake downpipe and exhaust.
So first thing I do to any car is lower and wheels. Lowered on Swift Sports and riding on OZ wheels. Went with obscure 18" OZ because based on tire rack it's really light. Since I don't need anything wide since again its a cruiser. Mounted the Indy Firehawk.
Got to shining up my headlights since they hazed over. Purchased the 3M kit. Turned out pretty decent.
How its looking now
Nice even drop. OEM comfort without the oem roll.

Its definitely not too low on my car. They feel stock when cruising but when you take corners you can definitely see the decrease in body roll. Ill do a quick review on them later, I will be upgrading shocks shortly. I know its subjective but imo the drop is great. fyi my car is not a Spec B.

Just picked the wagon up from the trusted mechanic. Had him install the parts.
Nice improvement in ride quality, lot's less noise from back there.

I ordered all new OEM bolts, nuts & camber washers.
I did fine adjustable upper control arms from Megan MRS-SU-0511 if you need them, from coiloverdepot.com or ProParts USA. I didn't need them.
The Megan arms look better than the other ones which I looked at, those looked like they would collect road grim and salt. Do a google search to find them.
It was difficult to find all the different pieces from one place.
I'll post pictures of the new stuff when I get time this week. Just because I'm retired doesn't mean I have all the time in the world...
It was a lot less noise?
I am thinking about changing out all of my bushings to the whitelines in the rears. I am kind of afraid to do it due to the increase in NVH. Do you have any new updates on these mods?

Looking at Koni with H&R's but thinking those springs might be a little low for these Ct potholes. Having a hard time finding Eibach or Epic springs, are they out of production?
Edit: Looks like they are discontinued.
Run the Swift Sport springs and call it a day. Drives like oem on the highway, and sporty when driven aggressively.
I think you should probably just switch to Bilstein B6/B8's if you are looking to swap shocks with lowering springs if your's is a Spec B.

https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/another-e85-lgt-stock-injectors-altitude-174523.html
Dave was tuning people with e85 with stock turbo and injectors and said people were pretty tickled with the results. The stock turbo is tapped out way before the injectors but that flex fuel kit would be way more exciting with a bigger turbo and injectors
Interesting, that thread states that if you live at sea level you cannot run stock injectors. Anyone in Cali with E85 on stock injectors? haha

Was looking into the Flex fuel kit from cobb, although its inexpensive it also doesn't come with all the components which I thought were necessary, for example fuel pump and fuel injectors.
I called them directly and the tech there stated that they built and tested the kit using the stock fuel pump and injectors and its fine with a proper tune. Only time you need to upgrade the fuel components is when you run high boost or upgraded turbos.
So now I'm wondering if there is in fact anyone that is running this kit alone with stock injectors and fuel pump. I do not plan on running high boost, this is just a daily driver, but I just want the option to run e85, seeing as though gas prices are going crazy its starting to look like a smarter choice of fuel.

So I have been doing some shock testing. I swapped the the Bilstein B8's for a little bit, but after a couple of weeks of using it I switched over to the Tein Endura Pro+.
OUT WITH THE OLD
IN WITH THE NEW
These shocks have been working awesome with my setup. They are 30 way adjustable, and the range in them is huge. At full Soft it will ride like a boat, but at full stiff they are coilover stiff (which is something that I am trying to stay away from since it is my daily) If I decide to take it to the track one day, I will tinker with the adjustments more towards performance.
I have it set as comfortable and controlled as I can for the street. All of the harshness I might have increased with the polyurethane bushings can be dialed out with these shocks. The are extremely plush. I have spent a few weeks adjusting the shocks settings and landed at about 10 from full stiff up front, and then about 22 from full stiff in the rear. I will continue to do testing, but from all of the OEM replacement shocks I have used in the past on other cars, these shocks have really impressed me just from the sheer range of adjustment and the ability to fine tune in small increments. Full soft is too soft, full stiff was too stiff. In its current settings I have managed to make it pair up really well with the Sift Springs.
What made me pull the trigger on these shocks is the hydraulic bumpstop technology that these supposedly have, but I haven't been able to feel it.
I might do a full Shock review in the shock section to go into a bit more details on the way the suspension feels overall.
I have also installed new front sway bar endlinks from Cusco.
Car is slowly getting better and better.
I'm sorry for not having more pictures of the items by themselves before the installs, I get so excited that I tunnel vision into installing my upgrades and then realize I didn't take any pictures...
I'm sure I will improve with time. Never really documented builds before.
