Actually, I get 14mpg city and 19-21 highway with normal (aka SLOW) driving.

 

Dealer fuel consumption test of 100 miles highway at 55mph: 19mpg

Last 3 tanks of mixed driving: Average of 15mpg

 

I have data from the last 20,000 miles. It's not pretty.

(By the way, I didn't have any gaskets. Is that why my fuel mileage has been so terrible? If so, I'm taking the HogZaust off and driving down to my Subaru dealership to destroy someone.)

Installed mine yesterday, right before a long road trip. A friend of mine said it was risky but I had faith.

 

Everything went well--the directions were great! It is completely concealed and I drilled holes in the bottom of the armrest cubby. The FM ground loop and all of the connections reside in there.

I'm almost slightly kind of maybe thinking about attempting this with my 5EAT. What would be the initial cost and how much damage could I potentially do?

Ouch...haha...that was rough.

 

I have a note from Subaru of America excusing me from such activities. Actually, I don't want to modify anything until Subaru figures out why my fuel mileage is so terrible. (Other than cold weather--because we know that's so bad for the turbo. I need to get an interheater)
