Hi guys,
Just curious if you have experienced the same with your XT models:
1) when I start the car, the engine would need like 3 to 4 minutes to lower the RPM from ~1500 to <1000, and then stay at that number.
2) if I don’t wait for the RPM to go down (i.e. shift to R or D at 1500 RPM), I can hear a “latching” sound which I assume is the CVT connecting to shaft. That sound is like that when you turn off your faucet ( to the best of my capability to describe).
My questions:
1) I know that a higher RPM is typically set at first to properly lubricate the cylinders, but does your XT also take this long?
2) Is that latching sound normal?
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi guys,
Just bought my 21 XT, really love it especially when making the turns. The car really feels less of a FWD with much less understeering. Feels awesome and that makes me want to ask a quick question: I know that subaru adopted a new platform in this generation, and I'm wondering if anyone knows the AWD torque split under normal driving conditions and slippery conditions, respectively? I heard that Subaru use to do Front:Rear=80:20, is that still the case in 20/21 Models?
Thanks!
