  1. Is there any way I can easily diagnose rod knock? I’m hearing a slight possibly knocking sound and a little bit of a squeal. After watching some YouTube vids I’m really starting to worry it might be the start of something worse.

  2. I was not aware of them, so I'll check them out. In my area there is Touge, NVAuto, and Autologix in Kitchener. I'll have look more once I make more progress, I need to order coolant lines and work-out how to use the ones supplied with the kit. IQPerformance strongly suggested I add an oil pressure regulator since the EFR series has a 40psi upper limit (from what I have read) and the stock oil pump can exceed that substantially.

I'll start posting some images and more details about my plans once I get my garage heater installed :)

I’m in Waterloo! We should get southern Ontario legacy cruise set up for sometime this summer!

  3. Are you separating the inner pin first or hit it as a whole? I think I was able to separate it first, before pulling the rest of the pin out.

Tried both ways. I think our Canadian winters did their job and seized it solid. After beating on it all day I Decided to drop it off at the shop and get them to install it and do a fluid change at the same time before I got a little to emotional involved with my hammer.

  4. Not sure what tire you are looking at but I have 18x9 +40 with 255/40/18 tires for my summer set and get a little rub on the driver's side rear. I'm on lowering springs and looking at having to roll or grind my driver rear quarter to address this. If you are lowered I'd expect you'll rub.

How do the 9s fit in the front? Could you also send some pics of fitment? I'm lowered about 2 inches but can adjust my coils. I think the 9 with the 25 offset is gonna give me 4 ish centimeters of poke. The back seems to have a ton of room for width right now so not to concerned about that.

  5. I run 18x8.75+36 wheels and am lowered about an inch. I had to roll all four corners. The face of my wheels are pretty flush with the fenders, so I would assume those spec wheels would poke out.

I ran both specs on willtheyfit for reference https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=255&aspect=40&diameter=18&wheelwidth=8.75&offset=36&width2=255&aspect2=40&wheel_size=18&wheel_width=9&offset2=25

I'm lowered on tien flex7 about 2 inches, and trying to achieve the widest flush fitment I can. I don't ever see anyone running 9s, is there a reason for that?
