  1. I know there are folks who get upset whenever someone criticizes Subaru. I'm only complaining about one aspect of the car that doesn't perform the way I would want despite trying everything I can do. I do enjoy the Legacy very much overall. My beef is with the voice recognition only and a Google search shows that others too have the same issue. I wish there was some way of teaching the system to better recognize my voice.
  2. I've had our vehicle for nearly a year and I can say with certainty that the voice recognition system is the worst in any car I've owned. I can say a command and it responds with something not even close to my request. I know there is no way to teach it to learn my voice so I guess I'm stuck. By comparison my Jeep understands every command I give it and does it perfectly each time. If anyone has some tips I'd like to hear them.
  3. Was unaware of this option. I'll check it out. Know any good sources?
  4. I like blacked out grills on my vehicles so I'm not crazy about the single horizontal chrome bar on my Legacy XT. I prefer the blacked out grill seen on the Sport model, so it occurred to me that I could apply black plasti dip to it. Since it can easily be removed I figure it might be worth trying it. Wife thinks I'm silly. I just wonder if anyone has done this before or if there are other options. Have to wait for warmer weather though.
  5. My previous 2018 Kia Optima SXL turbo had them too and they were great! Plus it had the overhead vehicle camera view which I also liked too.
  6. Don't see it as an option in the create shortcut menu unfortunately.
  7. Thanks for the tip! It does work. Now I wish I could put a shortcut for that setting on my display to make it much easier to set. At least now I can listen to music at night without the display on.
  8. My '21 Legacy has the 11.6 multimedia system with nav. I know you can turn the system off by pushing the volume in for a couple seconds but I want to turn the display off at night but still be able to hear it. I know I can dim it but is there a way I can turn it off and still hear the radio?
