kleggo
I’ve been looking at the 05 / 06 LGTs and really like the way they handle, but I’m having a difficult time convincing myself that I really need / want a turbo’d station wagon. For a myriad of reasons I’d prefer to keep my 04 OBK 5 spd M wagon and upgrade the handling to GT like performance. I know I could probably just lower the car and buy new suspension bits, but I’d really like to have the best of both worlds. ~ 20% of the time I could really use the standard OBK ride height and the reminder of the time I want to have GT like handling. I know that a vendor makes an airbag adjustable height suspension for some of the 3 series “ultimate driving machines” and I think Subaru used to offer an adjustable height suspension. So Do any of you know of an option I can buy to get the best of both worlds????? Max budget for this = ~ $4K. I’d really like to be able to push a button to lower the suspension and add some different wheels / tires for carving fun, then be able to push a button to raise the car to “stock height” and add the stock wheels when I need the additional ground clearance. Xenonk
the Praxxis system for the existing applications isn't all that great. Keefe
robsontuning
I have heard mixed on the Praxxis and also have talked to them about the system fitting our cars. They say it is possible with some work. But I did not think that the WRX or STi struts fit our model of cars. But I am not sure. here are some companies that make air struts for the cars http://www.airbagit-store.com/product_list.asp?id=2092 http://www.ridetech.com/productinfo/airstrut.asp

Xenonk
the rears will be a pain to do on our cars since the shock/spring system is limited in space and doesnt yield a lot of room for it.. performance wise, I dont think the Praxxis hold even a candle to a coilover setup. robsontuning
Xenonk, I agree completely about the airbag/strut not holding a candle to a good or even in some case OK coilover system.

6spdMAX
http://www.excentrixauto.com/ I had an air strut setup on two of my vehicles already, the air bags for a mcpherson suspension worked flawlessly. Instead of purchasing an entire kit from on of these companies (EAI, Air Ride, HackShack, etc) I would suggest doing your research and piecing things together separately. I ran 1/2" lines/valves and a smaller, low duty compressor with a five gallon tank, ran to a single switch for height adjustments. edit: most places sell a universal airbag for mcpherson suspensions, EAI uses a reliable manufacturer.
