markc0220k
here are some questions (see the 2nd pic, i drew some thin blue lines there.. ) : 1, the yellowish light above, is it normal? 2 On the right side, that sharp-cut line does not match/and extend to all the way to the end like the drivers' side. ... are they supposed to be like that? thanks mark ps: bulb is 4300k philips rebased to H7, oem hosing. and yes, i re-toned the 3rd and 4th pics to match what i actually see on the road. maybe a little bit too yellowish, but the original pics were too blue compare to the real light)
Omen
Lights look great The yellow rectangles above are normal. There are little opening on top of the the lights that allow for a little light to pass through. There is a way to fix it but it requires modifying the light. There is a post on it somewhere. And the cut off is normal also. Our stock projectors are not the best when doing the HIDs. I mean they look fine and I deal with the way mine look but they have there limitations. I am assuming it is normal based on the way mine look and based on the pictures others have posted. You may also want to try repositioning the bulbs and see if that makes a difference. MiniStiGuy
Check for a thread I made about filling it in. They look aligned alright but if you want to double check (I always recommend this) look under this exterior section for how to aim your headlamps. markc0220k
i'd followed your instruction (100x thanks for your very nice write up! "How to align your headlight! if you don't know now you do."), but later i found the light pattern on the ground couldn't light up those lines/reflectors and curbs (see fig.B) . So, i just aim both light little bit apart (thanks for you tips about the little hinded horizaontal adj bolt !), and now their pattern is seemed right to me (I guess?) . See fig. A and beside, i adjust/aim my headlight is according to how the light pattern does bright down on the roads, not on the wall. I just use "wall" (usually 6 ~7 cars distance from wall) to level both cuttoff and that's all. please, i 'm not really 100% sure if i'm doing right, please correct me if i'm wrong, thanks! mark
markc0220k
You may also want to try repositioning the bulbs and see if that makes a difference. thanks, Omen you right, i can rotate it 180 since the base has two bulging edges at 12olcock and 6oclock. But umm... i don't think it would make any diff, because it's H7. which doesnt come with a tiny shield like H4's, i assumed? mark
