Silverstar
I didn't like the look of the pipes after my fmic install so I put these together. http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo357/silversbr/DSCF0012.jpg http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo357/silversbr/DSCF0011.jpg I just got my mesh for the grille after I took these pics. It'll have a carbon fiber "look" GT emblem. comments welcome
AShoe
Very clean install. Fit looks perfect. The sti on a debadged car feels a little out of place imho.
Silverstar
yeah I don't disagree. I'm hoping the grille badge will tie things in a bit, though the GT on the grille and STi on the fog covers may not go quite right.
lucasmit
+1, clean look, but its a fraud. you might-as-well put a ss or gtr emblem on there. I think It would be better with no emblem or with a different sticker that better represents your car.
vduber
I personally think they look really good, I get what these guys are saying but it does give some thing to it!
05gtlimited300
what did you do exactly? put a film over the fog cover?
Silverstar
Yep! $20 ebay carbon fiber veneer another $20 in vinyl! long term I'm going to get a thicker sheet of carbon fiber and bend it to fit. The fog covers have a few curves on them which makes the veneer reflect oddly in certain a certain light and angle.

Silverstar
I got the veneer from this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/carbon-fiber-sheet-11-x16-015-adh-regular-stock_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ40017QQihZ015QQitemZ250413910078QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW though when I do it with a panel, I'll get it from www.dragonplate.com I cut the foglight covers until they fit with the pipes. I was able to do this and leave all of the "snaps" in place on the covers. I then gave them a light sanding with 200 grit paper to ensure the adhesive has a good surface to stick to. I turned the sheet shiny side down and traced the cover. I bend the sheet around the cover while doing this to get it the right size. Kitchen shears did the trimmming duty. A couple of test fits and trims later and it was the same size as the fog cover. I then flipped the first piece over and traced an outline for the second cover. Then cut it and trimmed. Peeled off the backing and stuck 'em together. I got the vinyl from www.grafzwerks.com I'm happy with them, I think they'll stay until I get money saved for the thicker carbon fiber sheets. Right now I'm kinda tapped out and I still need a clutch installed and then a new tune!
