rocketsauce
I have a 2001 Legacy B4 RSK. Just this morning, it started beeping whenever the brake pedal is pressed. It doesn't matter what else is going on, driving, parked, whatever - when I step on the brakes it beeps. It's one of the "sport shift" automatics, so it beeps when in reverse, and it's the same beeping that the brake pedal is making. Also, it dims the dash lights and flips relay by the shifter. I'm suspecting it's related to the remote start, but I enjoy the turbo timer feature and am reluctant to remove the system. Also, when the fog lights are turned on, it beeps also, but not as loudly. rocketsauce
It turned out to be some crappy dealership installed module where they t-tapped the reverse wire inside the trunk on the right side. The t-tap broke the wire - nice diagnosis shane! I repaired the wire and removed the crappy module, at least the back up beep function anyways, thanks for replying!
