DocHolladay23 Posted December 1, 2008 Share Posted December 1, 2008 Well after hacking one OEM key to bits to see what makes it tick, I have finally managed to make a fully functioning remote/flip key ! I'm sorry I don't have any pics of the process, I didn't know if I would be able to get it to work. Total cost was $30 shipped for the flip key shell and one OEM remote/Key. Here are a couple pics of what I ended up with. Not extremely, just took a lot of time and patience what do you do with the chip inside the key? Fellow Ute! That was the hardest part, those chips have to be positioned pretty carefully for the car to start. It's in the flip key next to the actual metal part. cool but common! Opened up one of the keys and remotes and ripped all the guts out. I can confirm that the honda key is VERY close to the later tribeca key in terms of button placement. My partner has a fit and it looks almost identical.
